Any issue with the PTFE pass through mod

Has anyone done the PTFE pass through mod? where the PTFE tube passes though the rear upper opening (with with 3d printed adapter: Printables)

Were there any issues with stress on either the tube or the cable.

Does it allow a lid on the printer (and not require a chain) or does it still need to protrude through the top during printing…

I don’t use that particular mod, but I have cable chain installed and that definitely takes care of the cable management problem with a lid. As the PTFE comes out of the toolhead it is pointing upwards and has to bend sideways, so you might be able to get away with PTFE toolhead guide along with the pass thru mod.

if you use the original coupler, there might be stress there if the tube does not fit snuggly into the passthrough - you can replace the coupler with a fixed coupler (this one for example Printables) that locks the PTFE tube in place

for the cable, you can either tie it to the PFTE tube (you need to leave a bit of slack though, since the tube and the cable have different turning points - but adding a drag chain is more stable
