I wish I knew
There’s a 1800+ comment thread about this
Hopefully soon, I have soo many ideas for the rc kits
"Dear users
We are aware of the fact that you are heavily requesting the release of those RC Kits that we previewed in Germany.
Unfortunately we are having many unknown requests to our cloud service and because of that we are working on a security patch. We want you to be in control of your RC vehicle and for that we are required to improve the security behind the remote control of the kit over our cloud.
Don’t worry, we are releasing a patch soon. Expect your vehicle to go forward and backwards. Later patches will let you also turn.Regards, your Bambu team"
Now more serious. I can’t wait for 2026. I really would like to build something around those kits.
Eh… I dunno if we need to poke that bear here too…
I’m excited for the kit either way because I have a few good RC designs in the pipeline that are waiting on these standardized parts to be available
Poke…
No, there should be only one topic like ‘vent, argue and clash’ and that’s it
Other that that I would be really enthusiastic about the RC kit! Years ago I printed a prototype design for our current cargobike (GoLo) and besides being a scale model I really wanted it to be RC controlled:
I even got all the components I thought I needed:
But apparently I’m not smart enough to get it working and it has been sitting as a deteriorating scale model ever since, but I was very happy with the detailing so I’ll just spam a bit into this topic to show what ‘outside the box’ designs would be possible:
TPU tires:
Working lights front (indicators and beams) and back:
Working steering and suspension (front and back):
Driveline with tpu printed belt drive:
And of course working high-low system (Hence the name GoLo):
I took this project wayy further then I ever should have so it is sad that it didn’t work out in the end (or: I just didn’t finish it in the end). Building it around a readily available RC kit would have made such a difference! (Even though I would have struggled to fit all the components into the very very limited space)
But there are so so many other possibilities.
/End of spam
good thing you didn’t market it in Australia, GoLo was our 90s-00s era dollar store of choice (they’re all gone now, but nostalgia lives on!)
Oi! No Lollygaggin’
edit: sigh… take me back
Would you mind sharing how you achieved the mesh seat in that shape? That’s a really cool effect!
And I like the scale washing machine too haha
With a dab of glue:
I recolored the bottom layers (left to right) to pink to better see the design, the blue layers go top to bottom. All a single extrusion line mesh
Interesting - thanks for sharing! That’s a really nice looking model
Sometimes it takes genius to make something so simple.
on the website they said the print it version limit is 200, that would be total quantity they have on stock right not limit on how many one person could buy
and does any one know what time zone it will be released in?
That would be for the early bird price.
They don’t even know which day they are releasing it!
Is it possible what they meant to say is early bird on the 13th and regular release on the 15th?
No, they made an error and have since corrected it.
I received the email saying they made an error.
