When I have a set printing speed for outer walls (ie 60 mm/s) I notice that if I set the printer speed to Sport (or Ludicrous) that ALL SPEEDS are increased. In this case, I need to maintain the 60 mm/s outer wall speed for overall quality and don’t want that increased no matter what. Is there a way to define speeds that MUST BE MAINTAINED regardless of any faster printing settings?
If you can’t restrict the printing speed in specific situations when printing at Sport, my option would be to just change the profile to print infill at a faster speed?
We always recommend adjusting the print speeds in the slicer, and not using the on-screen options.
When you use a higher print speed on the screen, all speeds are increased as there is a percentage added to the .3mf file printed.
When you set the speed settings in the slicer, you have more fine control over what speed you wish to adjust, and you also don’t risk going past the max volumetric flow speed limit - which can be easily surpassed if you use Sport or Ludicrous with a 0.2mm layer height or larger.
Just manually adjust all printing speeds except outer walls to whatever you’d like (I think Sport is 124% and Ludicrous is 166%- or somewhere around there) and set outer walls to 60mm/s
