A new issue just started. Printing petg, during the first 3 layers, the vent constantly opens and closes. When it finally stays open, its only halfway open.
Anybody else experience this?
I noticed when you put any kind of pressure on it, it automatically closes. Perhaps the pressure sensor is broken on yours. Also check for anything obstructing the movement of the vent outside and inside the printer.

Checked all that. I also notice it makes its full movement when opening and closing repeatedly (while cooling is off). Only stays halfway open when I manually switch cooling on. If I turn it off and on again, it starts at full open and then droops to half open

Sounds like a faulty sensor, I would just open a ticket and get support to replace it.
It doesn’t fully open until 33°C. Initially, it may fluctuate between 32°C and 33°C, causing it to repeatedly open and close. A better hysteresis range would be preferable—perhaps opening at 33°C and closing at 30°C.
Mine remains fully open, but it may briefly enter an open/close cycle during that transition phase.
Whats weird is it happens when cooling is off and the chamber is 28c. During the first layers. It just happened on the print im running now, so hopefully it goes away on the next print.
Thanks for the heads up about the partially opening under certain temp. I had never paid enough attention to notice.
You’ll get much faster assistance by starting with a quick self-diagnosis. It’s almost certainly not a faulty sensor, but rather a firmware setting that needs adjustment.
This particular parameter cannot be changed by the user, so submitting a ticket is definitely the right step. However, requesting a replacement part is most likely not appropriate in this case.
The obvious question is, how is it behaving with PLA?
