Has anyone ever run into this before? I’ve got my filament dialed in as far as temp & flow. This only seems to happen on larger prints that take up a lot of the build plate. Using a .4 nozzle, the .08 extra fine default settings other than the above entered calibrations for the filament which is Sunlu high speed PLA. I’ve had really good luck with this filament other than this.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Did that corner lift off the plate slightly?
That’s the first thing I checked for, but no. It was adhered good. The print is perfect other than the top layer corners
Thanks for the reply. I did a flow calibration & noticed that it was ever so slightly off the the plate in the corners. Used a 7mm brim & it fixed it right up.
On really big prints, I either turn the aux fan off or put blue tape over the outlet to direct the air under the build plate for the first couple of mm. I find that if the fan blows directly on the print, it is more likely to warp. And in the last few days, I’ve become a fan of Brim Ears. It’s the second to the last icon in the tool bar and you have to turn on painted brim for it to work. I go overkill and set it to 12 mm diameter.
After several big prints, I’m a big fan of the brim. I will try the brim ears setting & the fan blocker. With just the brim setting my prints have come out flawless! Thank you guys for all the help
If you ever get a real tough one(bare nylon or Polycarbonate), try setting the brim to part gap to .05 instead of .1…Or even 0, but youll have to clean it up afterwards if you use 0 gap.
Looks like changing the size of brim gap is no longer an option in the new version s?
