Anyone use new Overture Turbo PLA - is there a profile?

This may be the answer to the old question of banding we were experiencing at different layer speeds. Especially when I first started.

I just found - this: OVERTURE Turbo PLA Filament 1.75mm Rapid PLA Filament High Speed 600mm

Just curious if a profile exists for this yet?

Thanks

Not yet but the “Generic PLA High Speed” would probably work well with it. I know it works good with the Elegoo Rapid PLA Plus.

cool - I just ordered yesterday and it arrived this morning - I just setup a test print using the Generic High Speed PLA profile and the default settings. I will report back.

I look forward to your results.

This phrase always concerns me when the product is designed to achieve what the advert says.

The test results are based on the model and are for reference only.

It immediately says “you may nit see anything I’ve what we showed”.

fingers crossed my friend, hoping for the best and preparing for the worst - lol.

I have grown to love the Bambu X1C and got used to its quirks.

Definitely a huge learning curve if you are coming from a Prusa MK3.

So I am pleased to report: Success! - Here are the results (see pic)

Looks like I have a new alternative PLA that works with Bambu X1c and the default Generic PLA High Speed filament profile. I did not change a thing and NO banding! Even with through holes in the model!!

Look at the comparison

AND - I can get these spools easily, next day from that little online place that only used to sell books years ago. AND if I have an issue with a roll, I can easily return it for free, no questions asked. (unlike what I am dealing with now - 10 days later, 1 bad PETG HF refill and so many hoops to just get it replaced)

In my test with through holes it performed even better than the PETG for my needs.

I noticed that Bambu PETG HF - though offering a smooth finish, for some of my projects it was too flexible or soft.

Hope this information helps!

Turbo PLA will print fine on the bambu basic pla profile, but be aware that this product will probably see some changes coming up.

Turbo PLA does not adhere to normal PLA, it works perfect as support material. Id grab a lot if you really dig it. i definitely do.
