AP Board issue after display cable replacement

Long story short, I ripped my display cable because I tried to remove the screen without holding the unlock area underneath. Enough force released it, but also ripped the ribbon cable.

Why I was removing the screen?
Well, I was printing a 7 hour print overnight, on the final filament change (70% done, 5 hours in), it failed to pull back the filament from slot 3. It happens, so when I woke up in the morning I assisted the AMS with pulling back the filament, and normally at this point I’d click the ‘retry’ button on the error message on the screen and the AMS would continue pulling back on its own. However, there was no error message, anywhere, not on the screen, BambuStudio or BambuHandy. The resume button had no effect. I didn’t want to cancel the job and waste a perfectly fine 70% finished print. And, I wasn’t aware that if I fully power off the Bambu it’ll give me the option to continue after restart. So I thought of unplugging and replugging the screen - that’s how I ripped my display cable. Printer worked fine without the screen, just gave an error that the screen was malfunctioning - but continued printing.

I replaced the display cable yesterday, but after the printer did not power on, the fans and light only turn on for about 1-2 seconds then turn off. I’ve raised a ticket with support, from reading other posts it seems the AP board will need to be replaced. I don’t see how this could’ve been damaged during my cable swap, I was super careful. I also cannot find the X1C AP board as a purchasable part on the Bambulab spare parts store.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Yes i had a similar problem and damaged the fitting that locks the cable to the AP board which resulted i had to get a new AP board.
it is all installed now but i am unable to use printer until i get it rebinded via Bambu Lab. I think they back from holidays today or tomorrow hope it dont take too long cos i been unable to print for a month…My problem started when the screen started shutting down at random and i found the cable connection was damaged.

Been t how long did it take you to get them to bind the AP board? Ive been waiting 7 days…

I’m waiting right here with you - it’s been several days without a reply as well. While it’s been nothing but slow replies over the last few months, having a working printer waiting to be authorized is definitely the most painful part of the support process.
