App disappearing

I installed an app and it ran okay, so I tried to find the file so that I can move it somewhere else. On the task manager I clicked “Find file location” and nothing happened. So I pinned the app to the taskbar then closed it. It didn’t stay pinned but instead disappeared. I couldn’t even find it on File Explorer through searching in “This PC”. I tried it a lot of times and still it didn’t work. The installation didn’t ask me where I wanted to install it.

It would help to know more about the OS and probably also what app we are talking about.
For Windows there should only be a few location to check, if not there chances are you installed malware.

Are you logged in as an administrator? Program files are normally hidden for regular users.

What is the App called?

I am using Windows, and the app is called GaomonTablet.
It seems like it is always a broken shortcut and cannot be reopened after the first time auto-opening after the installation.
Yes I’ve searched in My PC and opened the “view hidden” but I didn’t find it.
I am not logged in the admin account but the shortcut redirects to a non-admin file anyway.

I’ve never heard of Gaomon, and do not know which tablet model you have, but I looked at a couple of the manuals from GAOMON | Official Home - Global | Graphics Tablet, Pen Display.
It appears the program only installs only a driver for Windows, not a separate application.

So you should find the G diamond icon in the Windows system tray at lower right of your screen, orange when your tablet is connected, gray when it is not connected. I’d expect that a click or a right-click on the icon would let you adjust settings.

If that does not work, I think that Gaomon product support would be better informed to answer your questions.
