As a data point, I am seeing a “process” and a “filament” folder in ~/Library/Application Support/BambuStudio/user/default/. These were not manually created so am guessing that was done when I installed the software and logged in. In my case, both folders are empty but I have not yet loaded any custom profiles.
I will try again with user/default and the filament and process maps in the default folder. Away from home the coming days but I will update once I tried.
Ok, I created the user/default folder and put the filament folder and process folder in the default folder.
I don’t see them in Bambu Studio but maybe I’m looking in the wrong place. I was expecting to find them under the ‘Prepare’-tab when clicking the ‘Gear’ for the ‘Filament’ settings.
After dropping the folders in default and not seeing the configs in the Filament settings or dropdown menu I tried to import a config like print.in.3d suggested. That gave me a pop-up mentioning the config already existed. I clicked ‘no to all’ when asked to override the existing config. Weirdly enough after that this config did show up in the Filament dropdown menu…
I know the behavior. I tried import filament settings in the same way you did. But because the usage of OrcaSlicer and BambuStudio in parallel in combination with the bambu cloud, the settings were overwritten or not visible every time. After I found and used the config import menu all worked like expected. The pop-up regarding the exiting config is normal, because the config file is existing, but it seems not registered within the Slicer config “database”.
Just tried importing all files via the Import Config option. Only 40% of them now shows up in the Filament dropdown menu. I have the ones I want so I’m done now, however still think it’s weird. Would still be interested in answer by someone from Bambu.
