Are my belts degrading?

Hi all, newbie here,
I was performing maintenance on my P1S (600hr print time) and while cleaning the carbon rods i saw the following red stripe / marks(?) on the belts

Should i be worried? Could they possibly be failing?

About the regular maintenance:
When you clean the Z screws should they be completely clean before adding the new grease? How much grease do you use? A small golden bambu bag is enough for all 3 screws?

Thanks

Why are you concerned that your belts are degrading? are you having issues?

Your camera photos are not high enough resolution to determine wear from a photograph. Try using your camera’s macro lens and see if you can get a sharper image. One should be able to resolve the texture of the belt material in the photo in order to be able to see any wear and tear.

Showing a photo from the tooth side of the belt won’t be able to show any degrading of the belt. It’s important to show the smooth side as this will show up problems quicker but only if the photos are clear.

You don’t have to wipe clean completely the old grease (silicone base). As long as it doesn’t have hard debris like sand that can destroy the brass leadscrew nut.

The wear and tear at those leadscrew and brass nut is very little almost neglectable. For me, I don’t even bother cleaning and reapply new grease even if the grease becomes pit black, as long as it doesn’t make weird noise of course.

About the belt, it’s just a bit of rubbing against the pulley. Nothing to worry unless this happenned

@simon14 thanks for your replies about grease and belts…

@olias tahnks, I will try to get a better photo, I wanted to highlight that the black rubber on the top of the belt disappeared and the inner red material was showing.
