Are there any plans for AMS to support TPU?

I am a user who uses TPU 95A a lot.
I wonder if AMS is planning to properly support TPU and if there is a possibility of hardware upgrade.
Please let me know if you are still thinking of leaving half AMS like this.

Doubt it. It’s not a firmware or other setting holding it back, it’s that it is TPU is too flexible - particularly 95a - to be reliably loaded and unloaded. They would have to completely redesign the AMS and how it works and even then there’d probably be issues. It’s just a tough filament to deal with automatically.

If multi-material TPU is important to you you really need to look for a tool changing system, and deal with the associated cost.

Hello,

Due to the flexible nature of TPU, we do not plan to add AMS compatibility to it. The main reason is the reliability of filament changes when needed, as @planetix mentioned. TPU can cause clogs easily and the experience would as good as we wish.

Thanks
