ASA-AERO just SUCKS

I’ve found ASA and ABS warps the closer it is to the door especially if a have the fume extractor too high, some airplane parts are come pretty lose to the door. The masking tape works just fine so far…

Just printed my first model with ASA Aero to pull out some weight for device mounted to a drone. I looked up the recommended settings and the part came out just fine. Note however the guide below define top layers to 0, set it to 1.

Its stronger than I was expecting in spite of the single wall and single top layer. It has some flexibility and does not seem brittle at all. It feels like it’s made from styrofoam. My model required quite a bit of support that also came off pretty clean. It leaves a few surface boogers that come off with a fingernail. I didn’t take the time to dry the filament first so I am pretty sure drying it will take care of that issue.

It does put off a smell so make sure you keep your printer closed with a good filter in it. I would like it in black or dark grey though.
