At my wits end with this

I’m sure you’ve tried the dropdown arrow at the top beside the file tab and clicked on help or preferences but if not you might have some luck in those spots

I have tried everything, run through all the troubleshooting procedures and ending with all no problem found, and nothing fixed. This G/D printer would have been #6 in my current collection, with perhaps 50 more built or bought since the first one in Q1 2011. I’m not a newbie.

If you going to do a complete closed ecosystem, you’d better get your ■■■■ to work before you ship. I’m done.

Never meant to imply you are a newbie, if thats how you took my suggestions you are mistaken

Good luck with your future endeavors in printing

I actually had a similar issue this morning after printing the Hydra AMS for the past 16 hours. Nothing worked until I shut the printer down AND my router for about 10 minutes. Turned the router back on and when it reconnected, turned the printer back on and it worked fine.

Worth a try.

No, I’m sorry if I came across that way, I’m just stressed and let me say thank you for trying to help. I should have said that earlier.

I had really hoped this thing would live up to the hype and just work. I have two really big 12x12x18 printers with closed chambers and heat, but they are so heavily customized I have to do all maintenance. This little printer was supposed to be something I could “just print” less challenging small models on, but it’s clearly not what was promised, and I am only now seeing how bad this situation is.

If this was ANY other 3d printer, I could break the problem down and troubleshoot. I can’t do ■■■■ on this closed ecosystem. Without customer support, I am helpless, and here’s the thing - BL customer support doesn’t exist, it sucks to be their customer.

It does exist and actually their support is not that bad. Have you checked the network port requirements and checked if your network is meeting them?

And did you try to connect via LAN-only mode instead of through the cloud?

I completely disabled my firewalls. I also noted neither the web ticket app or the handy app function for me at all, and there are no other support alternatives I know of. I still do not have a ticket, and all I can do is send angry email demanding refund. BTW, this thing worked for about 2 days, then just stopped one night. Nothing has changed, it just stopped working. This is my only outlet to reach out to anyone, and that is ■■■■ for a purchase this size.

That sounds really strange, I never heard before about a problem with creating tickets. Does your mobile app shows the same problem when you are not connected to wifi but to a mobile network? And is there any error showing up on the mobile app?

Other idea might be to remove the printer from your account, do a complete power cycle on the printer and connect it again.

And did you manage to reach out to @SirWill in the forum here via PM?

I have done all of that and more, including factory reset - over and over de-install re-install logout re-bind, it’s been down for many days and I thought of a lot of things to try, just nothing works.

The mobile app just has a spinning loading icon then times out. My guess is my account in the cloud service is hosed and that is why I can’t do anything, but since they have no other support channel, I’m screwed.

I asked him how to get a refund started, nothing back yet.

Well, its weekend. Not sure if they work on weekend or not.

Oh it’s been down almost all week, but like I said no real support channel exists so I expect any side channel will be slower yet.

Well, I am out of ideas unless you have the ability to switch to a different wifi network.

It isn’t my network, I’d bet it’s my cloud account. But that’s pretty central to the whole ecosystem and outside of my control.

Might be. Did you try to create a new account?

No, I’m really done. As much as I hate sending it back, I can just tell this thing will never work for me. The software ecosystem could be really good if it worked, or had viable support but this incident shows me it clearly does not. I just got unlucky maybe, but I’ve seen the dark underbelly of the problem now.

Besides that, the printer has an awful print bed design, and that is huge. If you don’t have a flat bed surface, you will never get orthogonal parts or correct dimensions. I’ve made many tool plate beds for my printers over the years, but this thing wasn’t supposed to be another re-design project.

I’ll buy it from you.

How much do you want? $1099?

Funny, I’ll take a full refund.

On another note. Can you verify if the printer is physically able to connect to your network? Go to the settings on the touchscreen at the printer, network tab, test network. Does it show connection and what does it specify as the average delay times?

I guess your TLDR threshold is also room temp.

Well, sure i guess you can feel that way but I had this same issue. I guess you can just keep waiting on that support ticket since you obviously don’t need any help.
