At my wits end with this

I have an x1 Carbon that just arrived last week, I cannot do anything with it and have been unable to open a support ticket using either the web form or the handy app, both appear to be completely broken.

When I open the desktop app, it will not connect to the printer, it says “Unable to connect to printer”. The Windows firewall setting are all set to off. The network test app say is all OK. I have rebooted, re-installed, re-bond, over and over.

Does anything work ??? The handy App won’t open a ticket, it just says “Loading” when I select my printer, then that appears to time out as well. I tried many times to open a ticket using the web page, I could submit a hundred times, nothing happens and no errors.

I know it sounds stupid and the only way I was able to get this taken care of is through the app on my phone for my router. But if there’s a way for you to connect to the 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi signal that is what worked the best for me. My printer did not like being on the 2.4 gigahertz signal for whatever reason. But like I said I was able to go into my router app and disable the 2.4 signal so that the printer would only pick up the 5 and then once that was done just turn the 2.4 back on and haven’t had any issues since.

Also make sure whatever is putting out your Wi-Fi if it’s the router or the modem your PC needs to be connected to that same source whether it’s hardwired or Wi-Fi. It’s another one of those things that makes a difference I guess.

Unfortunately I only have 2.4Ghz. Why the hell didn’t they just put an ethernet jack on this thing? Now it’s just a worthless paperweight. Is there anyway to contact someone about a refund???

The printer only support 2.4 Ghz Wlan anyways. There is no support for 5 Ghz Wlan.

You could try to send a message to @SirWill, he sometimes is active on the forum and works for Bambu Lab.

If you can make a hotspot on your phone then try and connect the printer to the internet via that

A network test run at the printer indicates it has no connectivity issues, pings to router and internet are both a few milliseconds…

How are you trying to connect to your printer, via QR code or via User Inferface or via your own input?

Is it possible that you have the incorrect printer selected in Bambu Slicer ?

Are you talking about binding it with QR?? Yes, that works.

No, the printer is set to X1 Carbon on the prepare screen…

I had issues connecting to my printer because there was a repeater in between it and the router . Can you see the printer on the router?

What is it showing in Bambu Slicer in the device tab ?

2nd tab over from prepare

It shows the printer name and “Failed to connect” every time.

So while you’re in there above the status tab is there a wifi signal showing ?

Beside where your printer ID should be

This is what I see. I can ping the printer from the desktop running the app. and the printer says internet connectivity is fine, and obviously the desktop I’m on has internet.

If you click the wifi icon what happens, anything ?

Should be green

And does the printer id on the screen match your printer id in the general tab of your touchscreen settings ?

Nothing, I don’t see where you are going with this, if the desktop app can’t connect to the printer, how is it supposed to query it for the signal strength? That’s why I ran the network test off of the printer, and noted it says it is fine, and I can ping it too.

Where I’m going with this is it’s possible that there is a simple error in text between your printer and your computer or regardless of your pinging there is something in your settings blocking communication between the 2 via your pc you are using

I’m just hoping for you that it’s something simple that’s been over looked but if you’ve absolutely tried everything and then some regarding connectivity then I’m of no help

Sorry, you’ll figure it out though with help from in here
