Is anyone else in Australia suffering delivery issues?
I get the Christmas issue but I can get laser supplies delivered in 2 days whereas Bambu is generally over a week. I’ve got 1 package “delayed” by Toll (nothing really new there) the other I ordered on the 2nd it got processed on the 6th but didn’t make it to Toll until the 9th. That’s pretty poor given inkstation will have it in the post the same day.
How’s the rest of you going?
My experience in Melbourne is that it takes a work day for BL to respond to a new order. I’m guessing that BL C/S then send the order to the BL Aus distribution center when then pulls the AusPost shipping label the following business day. So, two business days to the AusPost tracking number. I’m seeing 2-3 days from there to my door. SYD-MEL-AusPost distribution ctr then out for delivery. Add two more days if it’s coming from China.
I’ve had a few stuff ups but of the non-AusPost business, Toll has been better than most.
Fingers crossed for your shipment.
Nice to see they no longer use sub standard services like Aramex and such.
Hahaha, you should certainly go onto Google maps and search My team global express (which is tolls new name) and look at the reviews. Keep in mind that 1 star is the lowest possible and that any reviews higher then 1 or 2 stars are from 4 years ago… I’m having a massive headache with them as we speak.
Yes, Team Global Express seem to be my issue as well. 1 order placed on the 27th Nov and another placed on the 1st Dec are now both MIA.
I think I’ll be trying fillament from inkstation for a bit, at least until Bambu AU change their shipper.
The Bambu fillament is great, but I can’t print what I haven’t got.
Ordered an X1C Combo and some filament+hotends about a week ago. I’m in Mlebourne and the distributor is in Sydney. The delivery was split between the printer and filament/hotends with the filament/hotends coming via AusPost (arrived 2 days after the order) and the printer coming via TOLL/TeamGlobalExpress.
Now I understand couriering a large 20kg+ box is harder than a 5kg box and I was ready for it to take a week, but the TGE website is such a rubbish page with the way it informs the customer.
After the initial Pickup at Regents Park, the tracking then said that the printer was at the distribution place in Melbourne the next day with expected delivery the day after. But then nothing. Except each day at 12 noon, the expected delivery day has moved to the next business day. It’s not Friday and the expected day is Monday… But who knows as the actual tracking is still sitting on last Tuesday with some vague comment about the package going “Into Depot”.
I stupidly got my hopes up for a fast under 7 day delivery, but now I’m even wondering if it’ll get here on Monday.
I’ve said it a million times, give me the option to choose my shipping, more than happy to throw a few more bucks at it.
So at the moment I have 4 rolls of BL Filament, 3 hotends and some anti-vib feet sitting on my desk but no printer to actually use the stuff. Again, not a BL issue, but a courier issue and each day of minimal tracking information is making me anxious.
If companies would state the delivery service they use they would loose business - for obvious reasons.
And well, choice is something that is tied to costs.
YOU might be willing to pay just over 100 bucks to have your printer delivered by AU Post Express but who else …
And those companies have their fixed services based on package size and weight…
When ordering online, or trying to, I always contact the seller before placing the order to find out what shipping service they use.
If the wrong one and no other option offered I won’t order.
Sadly when comes to certain things we are denied any option and won’t anything to choose.
It may not be a BL issue but they do bear the responsibility of choosing the worst rated delivery company to do national shipping. Issues aren’t limited to TGE, it’s a challenging business, but TGE get a 1* rating from customers for a reason.
I’m not meaning to start anything, just telling a story from my own experiences.
But yes, I am willing to pay a bit more if given the option, especially if I deem the cost of the product to be high enough that warrants, in my opinion, a more expediant or secure service. If there’s no option then that’s fine too, I’ve ordered multiple products from various overseas businesses that have 6 - 8 week delivery time with their standard international services, which is fine. A week from Sydney to Melbourne is fine too, with certain caveats.
And yes, BL use TGE and as such, will have to bear any criticisms about delivery from their customers. They certainly don’t seem to have a good track record when reading the reviews. The past 5 years has shown a huge increase in online ordering and people do want reliable fast services and courier companies should ensure they can be viable in the now.
The point of my initial post was to point out how I, personally, wish that the couriers (which ever one is used) would give better information about package tracking, which I know can be hard due to the variety of reasons why items may be delayed, and how the lack of information, is making me nervous about how my printer, which cost a lot of money, is sitting somewhere unknown.
Anyway, I look forward to getting it and printing some stuff and then I can sideline my old bedslinger that has served me well for many years.
I’ve shipped items across Australia a few times, both small boxes and larger container loads, and well I was not happy on my experience on some shippin companies.but I found out that Couriers and Freight worked best. couriersandfreight.com.au
