Auto arrange with H2D won't use L/R nozzle only areas?

Am I missing a setting, or does Bambu Studio auto-arrange never use the Left/Right nozzle only areas with auto-arrange even if your project uses a single nozzle?

Case in point. I’m currently printing 6 parts which are a single color all from the right nozzle. When I use auto-arrange, it creates a second plate and moves one of the six parts there. The remaining five parts are all kept inside the “common” area of the first plate where both L/R nozzles can reach.

I can manually arrange all six parts to fit on a single plate when using the Right Nozzle only area.

If I missed a setting, please let me know, but otherwise this feels like a miss in Bambu Studio.

I think it is programmed to do this because it doesn’t know which nozzle will be used until slicing is done. I found that if I slice and then move something I have to reslice it.

Another difference with Auto-Arrange on the H2D is that objects are placed near the left nozzle only area (left side of the plate) where the X1C centers items.

I generally agree with your assessment. I think what’s missing is a small menu option, like the allow rotate checkbox, to allow using the left or right areas of the plate. Then if we slice and it finds a problem it could block the print until corrected.

I did the clone feature and when it added items it placed them on either side and ran over the end. Tried an auto arrange and it laid them over the purge tower, but tried to fit them all between the gray zones. I think to use those it has to be done manually since only you would know what will be printed out each nozzle at any given time. I have some large stuff that fits 7 items and it overlapped parts and threw errors. I was able to arrange so one item I knew would print in that zone for 2 colors fit there.
