I have a proposal to implement an auto-like system that will automatically give a model a like under certain conditions, for example a 5-star rating.
Ask why?
Well, in my case the reason is this. I don’t always remember that I should like a model that I really liked. Days and even weeks can pass after some print, and after this time, while surfing MW, the thought comes to me “stop, I forgot to like that model.”
Some people may not attach any importance to likes at all, but this is a powerful tool for promoting models.
What do you think about this?
With all the likes/collects/boosts/downloads/prints/profile ratings… I’m not sure what actually a like entails and what has what effect on overall model’s performance.
Also - I wouldn’t appreciate auto-likes (or any auto-action that implies I’ve expressed something I didn’t). What I’d like instead would be auto-reminder to like a model that meeds conditions expressed by you, similar to how rating reminder works.
Yeah, an auto like system might accidentally harm segments of MW. With 200000 (I am assuming) users, there might have been 2000 likes forgotten, but like @Johnny_Bit said, likes aren’t that important.
I didn’t say anything about a system that would do anything you wouldn’t do. As an example, I gave ratings of print profiles, which people are more willing to give than likes because of some kind of reward. So, for example, a like is put automatically if a 5-star rating was left. Again, these are all my examples, people who get money for implementing such solutions can come up with something much more appropriate.
The reminder idea is also not bad.
