Automatically Recover From Empty Spool?

If I have two spools of ABS loaded into my AMS unit and the first spool goes empty in the middle of a print, is the printer/AMS smart enough to both detect an empty spool and automatically load up the new spool to continue printing? Thanks!

Yes it can do that. It’s in the Settings → AMS settings in Bambu Handy. Auto switch filament

I think type and color have to match. And there’s an order it follows I think

Yes, it will continue printing with any other spool that has the EXACT same settings. Earlier software versions had a bug where it would only change in order from left to right in the AMS but that is fixed now.

Also if you run out of filament it will pause the print and allow you to put in a new spool and resume the print. This is an awesome feature for using up the last few meters of spools if you don’t care about the color banding in the print.
