Bambulab had updated their Aux fan design that has 3 screw tabs. One on the side, and two at the base. This allows the Aux fan to be mounted to the side panel of a newer batch of X1/C. For the earlier batch of X1/C like those for the Kickstart backers, there are no mounting points on the side panel.
Aux Fan Saver 2.0 (AFS2.0) is for those who own the earlier batch of X1/C without mounting holes on the side panel but have been sent or have bought the new Aux Fan replacement. Kind of messy right? But not to worry, you will most probably know what I mean when you receive your X1/C.
The fan is secured to AFS2.0 with two M3x16 screws and a small piece of VHB tape for extra adhesion. The whole thing is then secured to the base of the enclosure with two M3x6mm screws.
