I have 4 x P1P’s currently in my mini “print farm”.
For whatever reason 2 of them continually turn on the auxiliary part fan even though I have it turned off on the slicer and manually on the potato screen.
I can turn it off and hours later I will notice it is back on again.
This is extremely annoying as it is affecting my prints.
I have tried turning the machine off and on as I have heard this helps, it does not.
Anyone else seeing this? How can this be fixed?
TIA
dont see the Problem…on first Pic your Arrow shows not the part fan but the AUX fan that you set on 0 and the part Fan is always on except for the first layer. on the second pic both Fans PArt and Aux are on 0% and as far i can see the part fan on the Extruder is off…so for me all looks like it should be
I am fine with the part fan being on, on all layers except the first but not the AUX part fan. Yes, the pic of the slicer shows the AUX part fan set to zero but it will be on regardless on the printer. Maybe I am not understanding ya?
then your topic is wrong…there you complain about the part fan and not the AUX fan…really have to find my crystal ball to guess whats your problem
@Barracuda72 His post made perfect sense to me.

not really…Topic Says " PART FAN turning on…" and the problem seems to be the Aux Fan.
Honestly…have to ask if we really talk about the right fan as the P1P have no AUX fan . He talks about his 4 X1…but post it in the P1P part of the Forum…and if its a X1, why is there missing the Chamber Fan on picture 2? if its an X1 3 Fans should show up
@Barracuda72 I see. You only read the title. Technically the printer has 2 part fans so the title is still accurate.
I edited the title to say AUX fan shortly after I made the post initially because I thought it might confuse someone. I just noticed the edit did not take, so I edited again.
Well I don’t know why its turning on, but you could unplug it I assume? As it was originally an upgrade part.

Funny you mention that, I was about to give that a go
Seems odd AF to me that it is turning on randomly though
but sure, no power = no spin.

If you unplug it just fyi on the screen there is on the printer there is actually setting to let it know its not installed btw. So it uses the part cooler on the tool correctly.

Did you ever figure out this issue or did everyone just argue about topic?

Hello,
I’m running a large 24V 3A fan close to my printer. Since it’s PWM controlled, I can use the P1P to drive it as a DIY auxiliary fan.
The auxiliary fan we can buy (Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan) connects to the Fan-2 port. I’m looking for the maximum voltage and amperage specifications of that port to determine if I can connect the fan directly to the P1P. Another option is to use an external 24V 3A power supply and connect both the PWM and GND lines to the P1P.
The specifications I found for the Auxiliary Part Cooling Fan aren’t detailed enough. Does anyone have more precise information or suggestions? What do you think?
Thank you!
