Back, no alternative extruder issues

Ok, had to return as my extruder is no longer loading filament. I contacted bambu and they was of no help after waiting a week for a reply. Ive did a cold pull and no change. I followed the instructions to remove the face plate and remove the piece of most likely pla filament and theres nothing in there.

When i start a print it tries to load filament backs up and forth several times then beeps indicating a problem. i took off the ams doodad and checked the pathway and it seems fine. i tried to gently push a piece of filament thru and it slides thru fine. The one time i did get it to start it did then and then sat there trying to print with no plastic coming out.

Any ideas? if not i have a 400 dollar paperweight :frowning:

Heat up the nozzle and manually push some filament into it, does it extrude? Have you tried another nozzle? Have you checked the extruder gears to see if they’re damaged? Is the extruder skipping/clicking or spinning smoothly?

after a some diggin on here i found a thread talking bout how the tubes werent pushed in far enough. upon looking at it i noticed the tubes had gotten pushed way sideways (thru vibration i guess) and i got the filament to load and a print is spooling up now. ill reply in a bit and let ya know.

really nice print too

I have noticed it seems to be very slightly building below the build plate so to speak as this is spose to have a brim. Any way to fix? recalibration?

When you say this, do you mean the nozzle is too close to the plate or that the first few layers aren’t printing? What does it look like in after it’s been sliced in the preview tab?

it distinctly shows the big brim i told it to put there yet on the print plate theres just that little ring. Ill recheck my settings.

hmm still doin it, heres what it looks like in the studio all it draws though is a thin line on the edge and nothing else. plush it never seems to draw it on the minis just on the bases…wierd.
