I can remove the front two lead screws but for the life of me I cannot seem to find an easy way to remove the back z axis lead screw. Has anyone had to do this?
I couldn’t find any videos of it and Bambu support only sent me videos of how to remove the front two.
I guess my first question out of curiosity would be; under what circumstances might one need to remove the Z-axis lead screw?
To answer your question, there is no easy way. You will be resigned to taking the rear cover off and then it’s the same process as removing the front lead screws. I’ve looked doing this for cleaning purposes and quickly abandoned that approach. It is far more likely to do damage to the machine than help it in any way.
The z axis bearing that is part of the back of the heat bed went bad. Yeah taking the back panel doesn’t bother me, I’ve had to replace a few things that required that. The back back lead screw has that plastic covering over it where I can’t pull it out like I would on the front ones. That plastic covering looks like it has everything screwed into it, so I was hoping I wouldn’t need to go that route.
