Bad noise on Y-axis in the new A2L

Unfortunately, on the new A2 L there’s this metallic noise on the Y-axis right away when the platter moves backwards; I’ve already lubricated the guides but it hasn’t solved the problem. Help….

Is the sound coming from the front of the machine?

The noise seems to come from under the bed perhaps when it slides, but it only does so when it goes backwards and not forwards. They are metallic clicking sounds.

Thanks :folded_hands:

Take off the cover that’s under the bed and see where the noise is coming from. I have a y axis tensioner clicking issue (front end of the belt) and they are gonna ship me a new tensioner to see if that fixes it.

Thanks again for your very kind reply. I removed the cover and it seems to be coming from the belt too, and this is what the customer service chat replied:
It might be an abnormal noise from the Y-axis tensioner. However, I’ve noticed that your printer is still quite new. We can replace it for you, or we can work together to troubleshoot. We can also try replacing the parts for you.
Now I have to choose whether to send the printer back or have them send me the part. I think I’ll have them send me the part, because I also think the belt tensioner is faulty. I saw the guide today for removing it, which is a long job but doable, and I prefer it to sending the printer back and spending a month not knowing if I’ll see it again or what happened to my money. Another problem I noticed on this 2L is an error related to the bed temperature. That is, even though it’s hot, it’s already reached the temperature on the display, the printer is still and gives me this error: Waiting for the bed temperature to become uniform.
[0300-2D00-0003-0001] but I think this is a firmware problem because I read that I’m not the only one having this problem and i see that if play PAUSE and after start it became to print….Ultimately, to date I’m not very satisfied with this printer, especially because it seems to have no quality control… Immediately before assembling it and moving the plate I heard these noises, it means that they don’t control the printers.

I want to upload video but no possible:cry:

I suggest making a new post for other faults so other people can find it.

I lubricated the bearings on my tensioner and the noise is completely gone. I saw on Reddit someone had this same issue on their A1 and lubricating regularly stops it so I tried it on my A2L and it worked. This is probably not a permanent fix so I’m still getting the spare part in case the noise returns but I’ll see if I can avoid taking the machine apart.

This is what my printer sounded like before:
