Bad print quality, ragged and rough finish

Hello, I recently got the A1. I set it up and started to print the provided Kit 001 Lamp. After coming back a couple of hours later, I noticed that the filament seemed to be rough and not even. Some of it was not in line with the walls of the lamp, and it didn’t look clean. I’m new to 3D printers, so I don’t really know what happened here. If anyone can help me out with this, I would really appreciate it.

Printer model: A1
Slicer settings: Default
Filament: Basic PLA, Jade White
Print speed: Standard- tried lowering it, but the issue persisted.

Start with the basics:

  1. Dry your filament to make sure it is dry. It can have a lot of moisture right out of the vacuum bag.
  2. Make sure your build plates is CLEAN. Use dish soap and warm water. Only handle by the edges.
  3. Make sure your nozzle is not partially clogged. Set the extruder temp to 250C and extrude some filament. It should flow down out of the nozzle, not off to the side.
  4. Make sure you have Bambu PLA basic selected in the slicer before slicing the file.
  5. Make sure you have Bambu PLA Basic selected on the external extruder (if not using AMS).

If these things do not fix it, you should perform a filament calibration.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will give these a shot and try again. Hopefully, I will get better results.

Hey there! Just a question on how long you left the filament out of the bag. Though sometimes it can be a bit humid straight out of the bag I just want to check.
