Bad printing quality in some layers with AMS

Hello there,

I attached two picture to show a bad printing quality when the eyes were printed with AMS. I used Sakura Pink PLA and Black Basic PLA.

Could you give me some advices to resolve this problem?

Kind regards

Here is some configuration I’m using for the printing:

Filament: PLA Basic
Temperature: 220
Nozzle: 0.4
Bridge flow: 0.8
Order of walls: inner/outter
Print infill first: yes
Outter wall speed: 50mm/s
Inner wall speed: 100mm/s
Wall generator: 2
Infill density: 10%
Infill pattern: grid
All strength fill-pattern: concentric

Hey,have you solved the issue? If not may be try changing the Order if walls to Inner/outer/inner.

I didn’t resolved it. I tried slowing down the acceleration and speed but the printing went more mate color thant light color.

Yes slowing donw too much will change the finish the of the print. Try changing the wall order

Changing the wall order don’t resolve the problem.

First I think if you haven’t run calibration on the printer yet, you may want to.
There is some artifacting in on the left side that indicates either the printer or the filament needs calibration.

The overhang on the bottom isn’t so steep that it needs support yet looks a little rough. This could be cooling or some dampness in the Sakura.

I’d suggest running the calibration for the printer first. Especially if you’ve done any maintenance on it or more importantly haven’t. Lube the z screws and clean the carbon rods on the gantry. Lastly if you still see some defects calibrate the filament. While doing all of this dry that pink.

Just my 2cents.

I’m going to do all you told me. I’ll gave you any news when I finish.

Thank you so much

Not telling you, just advising.
I don’t know anything, ask anyone.

Hello there, I did:

  • Calibration for the printer
  • Lube the z screws
  • Clean carbon rods
  • Clean and lubricate extrusion gear
  • Clean and lubricate X, Y and Z axis.
  • Clean nozzle and hottend

The lines keeps showing in color changed zones.

Where did you get that file, I’d like to try printing it. Will be awhile, I’m in the last 5 hrs of a 1 day and a half print.
I need a old man nap. I just spilled half a kg of resin on my desk and floor. I got so angry I exhausted myself.

will check back.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner.
Adjust the belts. See what happens.

It is a custom file I did

I discovered that it could be a flow problem instead of a phisical problem. I’m trying to modify the filament flow in the eyes and eyebrows but I don’t identify the setting.

Did you find the reason for the issue? I am thinking the flow might be varrying since its changing filaments,I dont have an ams so I dont know for sure

Hello there, I keep trying to resolve the problem. Now I’m printing with 0.2 nozzle because the flow is not varrying.

I’m still searching a solution for this problem. The problem is with speed and flow filament in the eyes section. I don´t know how to set up the correct configuration.

I dont have a solution for you either since I have never tried multi colour prints. May be you can limit the flow to 3 as that seems to be the lowest based on the above photo. You could check the bambu documentation on how to do it.

May be someone else can provide a solution
