I bought an X1C a month ago. Searching the web today I came across something about Bambu Filament membership. What is this about? I find nothing on the Bambu website
Unless I’m wrong, Bambu posted a few months ago that the filament membership was going away. This was it would be available to everyone.

The filament membership program was discontinued quite some time ago.
I signed up for something today where they said I “COULD” receive sample filaments, with the fine print explaining that not everyone would. Not sure what they called it. It was free > I signed up.
Ah, ok, thanks. I think the posts that I read were from 2023. But it did take me to the Bambu UK website. I’m just a hobbyist, so I’m very unlikely to benefit from any membership. I will never buy in bulk. Thanks!
The membership was included with new printer purchases (not the email sign up†).
All new printer purchases earned the new owner filament discounts for 6 months. If that person bought another printer within those first 6 months, the end date was 6 months from the new purchase.
When Bamby Lab (BL) decided to reduce the filament prices for everyone earlier this year, the membership system was redundant as everyone benefited from the same better prices.
†The email newsletter offer is unrelated to the previous membership program. If you sign up for the newsletter, random people will be sent sample filaments, there is NO guarantee you will ever receive one, thus “could” rather than “will”.
I would anticipate the “COULD” would also come with criteria like you’ve got a solid model base which conforms with the filament they’re interested in spruiking. Secondly I’m sure you would need some social media connection so as to show the said “sample” in a good light. I’m a tad cynical and reckon the chances of an ordinary joe getting the latest gear gratis is next to zero.
I think what you should have said instead, was “null, zilch, nix, nada, void” …other than that, it’s fine
