[Bambu H2C] The Full Reveal Is Here!

Bambu Lab H2C, powered by the Vortek System, is ready to take multi-color printing to a whole new level!

Check out what H2C is capable of with these prints!

A race car with racing stripes? Yes, you can print it straight out!

A full-color anime-style fighter plane printed as one piece — no painting, no glue, no hassle.

Print durable TPU ball joints for your robot models — flexible and long-lasting. The main body is printed in PLA, and the joints are printed in TPU.

Structural rigidity printed in PA6-GF, impact absorption printed in TPU for AMS, and fire resistance printed in PC-FR — all in a single run.

Pretty cool, right? Now, let’s talk about the how: The Vortek System.

Multi-Material Printing with Minimal Purge Waste
In traditional single-nozzle multi-material printing, purging is needed to clear leftover material between filament changes. Vortek changes that with an intelligent hotend-swapping system that replaces the entire hotend — delivering faster, cleaner prints with minimal waste.

Fully Automatic Filament Change
The Vortek system works seamlessly with our highly reliable AMS, making the entire filament change process fully automatic — no need to manually load each filament into the toolhead.

Always Delivering the Most Efficient Combination
The Vortek system can store filament information in the hotend’s memory, ensuring the correct filament is matched to each hotend. If you are printing with more than seven filament types, the system can calculate the optimal combination to minimize purge waste.

图8

With the how covered, let’s explore why Vortek matters.

Small Form Factor, More Filaments
Because only the hotend is swapped, the system can house up to six replaceable hotends without significantly reducing the build volume. That means more materials, more colors, and more possibilities — all in one print.

8-Second Induction Heating
Our industry-leading induction heating technology brings the nozzle to temperature in 8-sec, significantly reducing the preheating time for each material swap compared to traditional methods.
图10

Contactless Design For Reliability
We replaced contact-based metal pins, which can oxidize and fail, with a contactless solution that ensures stable, high-frequency connections for precise temperature control and intelligent hotend synchronization.

Colors Are No Longer Limited By How Many Toolheads You Have
Unlike traditional toolchanger printers that limit color count by the number of toolheads, the H2C supports up to 24 materials in a single print through parallel-connected AMS units. Its intelligent algorithm optimizes filament-to-hotend allocation to minimize purge waste while delivering outstanding multi-color and multi-material results.

Enclosed for High-Performance Printing
With its seamless enclosure and adaptive airflow system, the H2C maintains a stable chamber temperature for high-performance materials and filters the air to keep your workspace clean and safe.

Fully Automatic Nozzle Offset Calibration
Our inductive nozzle offset calibration is fully automated — no manual steps, no calibration plates, no extra setup. In just a few minutes, the H2C precisely calibrates nozzle offset to within 25 microns.

Dedicated Hotends for Specific Filaments
The H2C’s Vortek system lets you dedicate one of its six interchangeable hotends to specific filaments — a game-changer for valuable engineering materials. This ensures superior consistency and reliability across prints. Each hotend can even automatically store filament information, so the next time you load that material, it’s instantly matched to the correct hotend.

The H2C continues to deliver Bambu Lab’s top-tier printing performance and unlocks the full potential of high-performance materials—making it a true production powerhouse.

I am someone who waited to purchase the H2D until the H2C was released.

For existing customers, I don’t quite understand why you don’t also offer a version WITHOUT AMS (because I already have 2 AMS and 1 AMS HT), but never mind… I ordered the Ultimate Set and will just sell two AMS again.

I find the dark grey much nicer than the light grey of the H2D.

Now I just hope that you put a little more manpower into the software. That problems like those with the H2D, which you can read about here in the forum all the time, will soon be a thing of the past. Spaghetti on the PurgeTower, Z-banding, … and that it will finally be possible to use different nozzles in one print.

H2C without ams may come at a later date , i recall having to wait on a A1 because the combos are sold first

Delivery Date here in UK around 4th December :frowning: anyway it’s on the way :joy::joy::balloon:she will beat me up as last month I used up all my excuses why I needed the P2S and took delivery if that and now I’m dreading showing her my newest new thing :joy::joy::joy:

I am in US and ready to purchasse but there is no pricing or way to pre-order. This is not fair to us loyal Bambu supporters I have 3-H2D and 2-X1C and have been waiting for this to release. What is the story???

Still waiting on the P2S availability lol

Well that’s a kick in the spuds.

Same build volume as the 2D, 3 x Vortek nozzles at £32 each plus the AMS HT for an extra £450 between the 2D and 2S ‘ultimate 40w laser’ You can scrub £206 off the difference because of the extra kit, so £244 extra for the 2C versus my 2D purchase.

I would have waited for the H2C instead of faff around with the Vortek upgrade had I known.

FYI, This has nothing to do with Bambu.

It isn’t quite what we wanted, but it is progress. Hopefully “not yet” turns into sometime soon. (A nerd can dream.)

From the FAQ: Buy Bambu Lab H2C: Purge-Saving Multi-Material, Multi-Color 3D Printer | Bambu Lab US Store

"5. Can H2C dual-nozzle printing be used with different nozzle sizes simultaneously?
Not currently. The firmware does not yet support mixing nozzle sizes (left vs. right or within Vortek hotend sets).

However, mixed nozzle types of the same size (e.g., 0.4 mm standard flow + 0.4 mm high flow) are supported."

Do we know when it will be available to be ordered in the US?

I noticed in 3D Printing Nerds review he got a clogged nozzle and tried fixing it the old fashion way with heat and a poker and heating the nozzles to clear the clog damaged the magnets. Seems like these nozzles could end up being more of a consumable if clogged :grimacing:

I think i’ll prob wait for a multi tool head hopefully down the road, specially cuz i also dont want to give up print bed area either

As someone who doesn’t own an H-series printer, I had high hopes for the H2C launch. After watching the official launch stream and recent reviews on youtube, I’m hesitant to purchase.

This printer appears to best fit engineering filament users who want to try out different material combinations. Where having a heated enclosure and induction heated nozzles in variety of sizes open up interesting combinations. Non-hobbyist, aka 3d print sellers, also benefit from eliminating costly purge waste and finishing prints faster.

As a hobbyist, I will be holding off. I plan to wait to see how the Snapmaker U1 performs in real-world usage and will also be keeping an eye out for what Bondtech INDX-type 3D printers might release in 2026.
