updated to the latest handy (3.0.0) on android and no longer can see any of the custom filaments (e.g. all the inland filaments) I have configured in my account. studio still can see all these filaments and assign them to AMS slots. earlier today, the previous verison of handy could also see and assign these custom filaments. on handy 3.0.0 app shows ?? for these AMS slots and the filaments are gone from the list to assign to slots. anyone know if this is a bug or intended behavior?
I really hope this isn’t a “New” feature - this really has put a hitch in my workflow.
I had a big enough issue when one of my A1’s wouldn’t show custom filament in bambu handy and Bambu said that was normal… and now nothing will show custom filament A1 or P1S at least… with this update… this is a big issue to me. As I am constantly doing filament swaps and doing proto typing/build plate changes etc…
Bambu Studio updated also however it doesn’t make a difference with the handy app connection
I have the same problem, only I was forced to update the app because I had got a new iPhone and it auto updated all my app during the restore including Bambu Handy and now on this latest version none of my custom saved filaments from studio that were previously selectable to assign to my AMS and AMS Lite slots in Handy are present it only shows the official preset Bambu Lab, Overture, Generic, Polymaker, and eSun “brands” and their associated presets. It also for some reason doesn’t accept any changes made to my AMS assignments via handy even if I select one of the official presets listed like Overture PLA for example, it’ll just have a little box pop up saying “failed”. This seriously cripples my workflow as I usually slice my files in studio once for each my A1 model printers and my P1S model printer and then I “send all” to their respective SD cards and then adjust the AMS/AMS Lite assignments and start the prints as necessary from Handy.
I can’t tell it what non Bambu filaments are in the AMS, if I want to use handy i have to use Bambu filamemt. It just says fail when I try to edit filament information.
I also cannot change filaments in the app anymore. It just says “Failed”. I’m not sure if it’s an app issue or not though. Orcaslicer also can’t update filaments on the AMS’s, but I’m not sure if that worked before or not. I didn’t try it until it stopped working in the app.
This makes printing pretty annoying since I need to take a picture of my AMS’s so I know which filament is where. And the preview picture has wrong colors as a result.
Has anyone fixed this by downgrading the Bambu app?
I guess there is a reason Bambu stopped at version 1.3 in their Wiki…

Thankfully there is places where on can download older Android apps…
Like APK Mirror and such…
I was able to sorta fix it by downgrading my AMS and printer firmware.
