when i try to bind my phone and printer with bambu handy, i get an error message “need logout.” what’s going on? what needs logged out?

I’m assuming it means your user account. Are you able to bring up the app on your phone or does that error message prevent it?
If you can get into the app, tap the little head and shoulders icon at the bottom right of the screen, then tap “Settings”, and then finally, “Logout”.
Back at the home screen tap the Sign In/Sign Up area and see if that fixes it.
