Bambu Lab really have to change their business practice online

For the second time in a row I’ve ordered things that are “in stock” (and are still “in stock” now), waited three days and moaned to support and get:

Where is my order?
We are so busy
Are you sure that’s the reason?
We are so busy!
Are you sure?
Sorry, part of your order is out of stock
Why does it say it’s in stock?
We are so busy
When will it ship?
We are so busy, sorry, I have asked the warehouse to process it super fast!
But you said it’s out of stock, which bit is out of stock?
OK FINE, We have no idea because we cant contact the warehouse, it’ll ship when it ships, no idea when.

I wouldn’t mind if I knew I was ordering out of stock items or support didn’t need bullying to find out the truth

I’ve noticed the same but more quietly, they need to hire more people Customer service,Engineering software and hardware to begin with.

As someone who works retail, customers ordering something that is out of stock isn’t actually all that uncommon, usually the cause is down to someone either miscounting when booking inventory in or mispicking when sending inventory out, its human error but its sadly not something you can generally eliminate where humans are involved at any point of the process, and even then i suspect accidents will happen even in the automated amazon warehouses

The net result is the system thinks we have X when infact we do not have X, usually resolved by doing an inventory count but that takes time and can be a painful process depending on the layout of the warehouse in question and if you have staff available to deal with the issue

They’re willfully doing it though - the products are out of stock - they know they’re out of stock because they can’t fulfil new orders of said product… so set the product as out of stock?

It’s been six days since I ordered… still all “in stock”

oh… it’s you, on the payroll, still, I see.

Was never on the payroll sadly, i am but a humble retail worker

Sure but that still requires someone to go an do it, odds are the support reps don’t have direct access to the inventory system, because you know, compartmentalising things, making sure someone who isn’t trained can’t break something

Should normally be done within a few days though but without seeing how their internal ticketing system works its hard to say, we have had a blown light at the place i work for going on a couple of months now, engineers have been out multiple times and its not been fixed because they can’t seem to communicate with people to get the parts delivered to the right place on time, and this is in a company thats a little over 50 years old at this point

They will probably get to it eventually
