Bambu Lab spool storage

Hi,

I started printing with my Bambu Lab X1 with AMS. In the beginning the AMS provided enough moisture controlled storage but as you can see I run out of storage.

I’m looking for a nice 3D model where I can store multiple Bambu Lab spools with filament.

I’m sure most have seen the various drybox container hacks that have some clever adaptations. However, I’m looking for a more stackable way to organize individual spools in such a way that I’m not spending more on the container than I am on the spool. Ideally the container should be transparent enough so that the color of the filament should be visible from across the room. I’ve used the filament vacuum bags with great success despite the fact that they can be tricky to get the seal just righ…

I’m gradually shifting my filaments from vacuum storage bags to 18L Ezy-storage bins with desiccant. These seal very tightly, are transparent enough that I can see color and quantity without opening the bin and are stackable. This size is perfect for five spools. I use a wax pencil to mark the type of material on the outside.

I think a 3D printed solution will be more expensive in time and material, will not be transparent and will probably not be air-tight.

Yeah, that looks scary. Probably makes a lot of noise too.

I have a couple of the bins but after stacking and restacking and searching for the spool I want, I moved to cereal storage bins on shelves. I just need to do some prioritizing and open up another shelf or two.
