I am not sure if this a bug but every time I open Bambu Lab is forgets the filament types currently in the AMS.
On start-up I see this:
But I should be seeing this:
Is there a way for the Balbu Lab to automatically sync with AMS to get the filaments right? As this has caused me a few failed prints because it thought that ABS was PLA
I’m having the same problem and have to “re-sync” the filament list multiple times a day. Anytime I close Bambu Studio and re-open it, it has an old list. Obviously it has stored that older list and all I want it to do is store the current list. Clearly this is a bug and is irritating. I have updated and rebooted and I still get the same old filament list.
just installed 1.10.0.89 - problem is fixed! no need to resync anymore…
(though after installing the filaments were still incorrect and first “resync” failed)
Sadly post update it only made things much worse. Almost every time I open the Bambu studio when I try to manually sync I just get “No AMS filaments. Please select a printer in ‘Device’ page to load…” popup.
This much more more annoying!
This issue is still present and really infuriating as I’ve had a few prints go to waste since it had the wrong filament listed. I’ve got 3 AMS units and thus having filaments synced properly is really important.
current release also has as issue which keep saying that I’ve got no printer connected and I need to mannually go to devices and pick my X1C.
Sounds a bit similar to issue I posted about a few days ago. it doesn’t bother me that they are not correct when I open studio what bothers me is when I click sync, re-sync or any other sync, it will tell me the AMS is now synced but it’s usually completely wrong. Initially I thought it was somehow showing filaments I’d used at some point in the past but no, its just randomly populating the AMS slots with any filament at all.
If I’m lucky, after syncing, I can find the correct filaments in the drop down menu for each AMS slot, that doesn’t necessarily mean the filaments are shown in the correct slot.
It is definitely a Studio problem, the Handy app shows exactly what is loaded in the AMS and where as soon as you open it.
I guess another point is why does it reset to random filament each time that I open the application? I mean can’t it just remember the last sync filaments? Why does it have to essentially randomise them?
lol… why won’t you just give a try to OrcaSlicer to see the difference?… Oh, wait, you can’t cause since January 16th last year Bambu has made it impossible for users to step out even an inch out of Bambu walled garden and impossible to use OrcaSlicer, or any other (quite useful and very reliable) 3rd party stuff.
