Bambu Lab Trade In?

The new H2D is making users jealous. I wish there would be a trade in option for us Bambu users so we can update to the H2D without straining the budget. Do you guys agree?

Well… Creality did that in-person only at a large B2B con recently, kind of smacked of desperation and gimmickry expecting customers to lug/ship a huge 3D printer to a hotel, then transport it to the convention center, and actually get inside with it and lug it to their booth. Which raises the specter of: How exactly would a ‘trade-in’ program work for a large piece of hardware? We’ve only seen this for cell phones in decades long long past. What precedent of a successful company have you ever seen do this on a large scale?

yeah i find that extremely hard to implement, you’d need to have a big infrastructure in every country, with techs evaluating the state of the machine and how much you’d get from it in a trade-in.

it’s a nice thought, but very difficult to execute, and chances are the return value would be way too low to be considered a good deal

The older machines are not too difficult to sell on account of their reputation though.

Yeah just sell them and buy an H2D?

Makes sense. Do you know any online platforms to sell second hand things for a good price?

I’ve sold a few on Facebook printer groups. One on Facebook marketplace but that attracts annoying scammers.

It would actually be a pretty good opportunity. I would also love to see a dual nozzle xc2 that can use the entire build plate.

Except the market will be flooded with them and nobody will buy these last gen printers

Ikea has a buyback scheme but they also have stores to put the used items up for sale

Facebook Marketplace and an app called Offer up is a good place to sell it locally to avoid shipping costs
