Hello, as I already mentioned, I have had problems with my Bambulab since the first day I received it. The thing is that I sent it to print and everything was fine. The ASM starts to load the filament but when it gets to the extruder it pushes it back again and again and always like that. If it ever picks up, it’s very strange. What could it be?
Que puede ser el problema?
what could be the problem?
What exactly is not working? The AMS moving the filament after turning on the printer, when you insert it or when you click the refresh button in the app/slicer is normal.
I have not investigated how far it actually moves the filament in the tube, but I think it could be until it reaches the filament sensor.
For troubleshooting pictures or videos are always helpful.
Well, as I already mentioned, the filament comes out of ASM but when it reaches the extruder it pushes it back and does not enter the extruder. I have bought a new filament detector but the filament still does not enter.
I don’t have it stuck so that’s not the issue
Teflon tube properly seated in the extruder?
Yes, the filament reaches the extruder when I press the plate to print, but inexplicably when it reaches the extruder it goes backwards again and again.
The Teflon tubes are all fine.
Have you removed the teflon tube and checked down in the extruder for any foreign matter?
Yes, I have disassembled the extruder and everything is fine and I have also changed the hotend.
I printed stuff for half a day and everything was fine but then it stopped working
How long is the run from the AMS to the printer? And the filament is making it all the way to the extruder? It could be there is a problem with the board that gets the signal from the sensor in the extruder?
It’s sounding like a service ticket if the extruder is fine.
Well, it takes a short time, from the ASM to the extruder it takes about 5 or 6 seconds.
Do you mean that the filament sensor board of the extruder is bad?
That’s what I thought but I bought one and it still doesn’t work
I was asking distance just in case it was timing out. But you may do better with a support ticket especially if you are sure the extruder and whatever parts you bought are ok.
And how do I send a support ticket?
Thank you for everything, what bad luck I had with this printer
Sorry to hear that. It’s not consolation if you got one with an issue, but most have great luck with theirs and I have had with mine.
There are lots of how-to articles in that support area and might be some related to your issue. You might consider looking through any having to do with filament feeding issues. Good luck though. I haven’t had that issue to need to investigate that, but maybe someone else will be able to help.
Does this happen with all 4 slots on the AMS? Have you tried manually adjusting the angle of the PTFE tube with your hand to make an easier approach angle? Also, try cutting the end of your filament again, making sure it is a clean square cut - angles and burrs or bent kinks at the end of the filament from being fed through the spool retainer holes can cause it to get hung up on the smallest of places where PTFE transitions to something else. Likewise the ends of your PTFE tubes need to have clean square cuts to fully seat in the connectors.
