I have been using A1 printer for 6 months only and have been mostly using PETG-HF filament. Now, for a couple of weeks PETG-HF filament is out of stock - at least in Australia.
Recommendation on the page is to use PETG-CF. I don’t see why I would want to use it since it is AMS lite not compatible, stainless steel nozzle not recommended. And the price is double for what I could pay for PETG-HF without a spool.
Can anyone suggest a replacement that I could use with A1 - eSun, Sunlu, Elegoo?
I don’t want to buy it and then worry what settings should I use to get best result.
I would appreciate suggestions based on your experience.
Another question is about TPU. I used TPU for AMS filament. Since it was the first time I used TPU filament, I thought that it will be more flexible. But after printing some models from MakerWorld designed for using TPU, to me it didn’t seem to be different from printing using PLA.
What is your experience with using TPU?

ive been using sunlu petg matte with the same profiles as the bambu petg hf, works great. fellow aussie as well, checkout their official ebay store. i buy 10 at a time, works out to be ~$15 / spool
Besides that and Bambu PETG HF, I have tested Elegoo and IEMAI high-speed PETG.
The Sunlu was second best in behaviour after Bambu. Elegoo had most problems with gaps around the seam.
And Sunlu also has the most pleasant surface in my opinion.
Yesterday when I tried “Contact Us” page to find the date, I got only to AI robot and response was that there is no outlook for PETG.
And what does “early August” mean? Is it 1st, 2nd or 12th?
Besides I am fed up with paying International transaction fee to the bank. They advertise the store as Australian, you pay in AU$ and the items are shipped from Sydney but looking in the bank transfer, transaction is to Hkg Merchant. It is misleading saying it is Australian Store with the webpage “au.store.bambulab”, but if it was Australian Store the webpage would be “…com.au” So maybe I will try a different brand of filament.
You buy from AliExpress and you never have to pay International Transaction Fee
yep and also for your reference, sunlu has a local AU distribution center now. even if you buy from ali you can select AU as origin country. delivery is usually 2-3 days. in most cases as fast or faster than coming from bambu

That wasn’t a critique of you, just a suggestion for the future based on the experience you have had.
It isn’t obvious how to achieve it, but it does imply you focus on companies who have a great track record and focus on filaments rather than other products.
BL are a printer company, not a filament company as an example.
I just wrote that based on my short experience with 3D printing I thought that I could rely on BL. And I know that they are not filament company, but if you want to use AMS lite with the RF id tag it was a good idea to use filament that they supply.
FYI you can reuse the RFID tags if you have the same filament type and color e.g., bambu petg HS white == sunlu matte petg white. your ams wont care and there’s a bunch of options on makerworld to embed the rfid in the spool. it will show up as “bambu” but the print profile and any calibration you do on it will persist as normal.
In germany, the sunlu online shop is sold out but the official ebay shop has most colors available. I don’t know where you live, but it might be worth checking at ebay.
