Bambu, RAFT versus BRIM, and size

first image, bambu RAFT. it is a kluge, too big. even if i make the one setting for expansion to be less. it is blocky, and takes too much print time.

second image, BRIM. I do not want to USE a brim, for my small parts, i want a raft (I use petg raft for PLA objects, etc, works well.)

BUT, i want my RAFT size to be similar to how the BRIM gets created; smoother, follows the object, less time to print it.

is hter any way to make the RAFT footprint be similar to the brim? OR, make a footprint of an object, that is about 105% of the object, which would provide a good raft template? any feedback appreciated
