I bought two roles of refill filament.
However, when opening one of them, the filament isn’t being held by a piece of tape or whatever. It just sits there… And surely, during printing… entanglement.
Haven’t opened the second roll, but I through the clear plastic bag, can’t see anything holding the end there either…
Edit: I opened the second (red roll), and there’s nothing holding that end either…
Anybody else got the same experience or is this a ‘me’ problem 
?
I’m not entirely following what the issue is? The refill can’t tangle before the straps are removed. Once you install the spool halves you remove the straps and tuck the filament end into the spool or use one of the many filament clips.
That’s why I’m asking here.
By your responses, it looks like a ‘me’ problem where I did something wrong.
Thanks for responding. I’ll see if I have better luck (as in following instructions) with the red filament which I have not yet put on a spool.
Tangles happen when the loose end gets under an adjoining wrap - it’s actually forms a simple knot.
The straps keep that from happening during shipment. It’s up to us to never let go of a loose end after the straps come off.
