Bambu should create a universal laser for A1,P1 and X1 series

I think Bambu should make a universal laser attachment for all printers. If not the A1 series, at least the P1 and X1 series because they have an enclosure. This would be better because some people wouldn’t have to pay almost 3k for the H2D laser combo. This would probably get an increase in sales because people who want the great print quality of Bambu and a combined CNC would be able to get that for a cheaper price.

The complexity and cost of doing such a thing probably makes it infeasible.

And they have a lot of investment in the H2D development, they wouldn’t want to cannibalize the sales they need to recoup the investment.

I’m pretty sure they’re not going to have any trouble selling as many H2Ds as they want to make.

If you own an older printer and you want a laser cutter, you could buy one for < $500 and not have to hope/wait for BBL to come up with an upgrade.

They will never. The P1 and X1 series have completely inadequate filtration to deal with something like this. The door has a visible gap and the filter is basically decorative. Burning fumes from a laser incineratetating plastic or wood are much more toxic then a typical 3d printer. The glass also doesn’t have any protection against the laser so it’s a huge liability issue.

No, they shouldn’t.
Progress, evolution.
If no income from new designs there is no money for more development.

They should sell an upgraded filtration system to solve that problem.

That won’t really help, the purge chute is wide open and the door doesn’t even have a seal. Theres actually a visible gap. Also I doubt the TH board outputs have enough power to operate a laser.

I would like to also see a laser upgrade for the a1 mini!
