Bambu Slicer Keyhole view [solved]

Can anyone please tell me how to free up the view of the model? When I want to examine the layer history, the code view is distracting. It’s already challenging to have a clear view of the model since it seems impossible to hide the settings on the left side, let alone the view of the print beds. Everything takes up so much space that it can be quite frustrating at times. In Orca Slicer, at least you can hide the code view with Alt-A (if I’m not mistaken).
It’s like a view through a keyhole…

Thanx in advance!

Slide the bottom slider fully to the right.

But I want to examine the precise progression of the layers.

Use the vertical slider on the right…?

What resolution of monitor are you using?

I mean that I want to closely examine the exact path of the nozzle within a layer. Is there something like a fullscreen mode where all the settings windows disappear? Perhaps a key combination that needs to be pressed?

Shift + Tab to hide the left setting sidebar.

Oh , Wow! Today you made my life a little bit easier!
Thank you so much Ron!

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

Thank you very much Ron! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The problem can also be solved with a different Monitor. For example, as seen in my case, the solution to screen clutter was a Samsung 49" curved 32:9 display.

I tried that, but all my prints were warped.

Today I learned @lkraus doesn’t use dark mode in Bambu Studio. Thus we can no longer be internet friends. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But if you flip it over, the curve compensates for the bed not being flat.

I’m shocked that you judge me by the color of my screen! What are you, some kind of screenist??
:scream: :scream:

I actually only slice and print from OrcaSlicer, in dark mode, if that makes you feel more comfortable with me.

Studio is in light mode so I know which slicer I’m using.

I keep both on my PC for reference purposes. I try to verify that any replies I might make here will be valid for Studio users, and also to see if Bambu is catching up to SoftFever.

The problem can also be solved with a different Monitor.

In fact the monitor is small, but they are plenty

How do you manually set light/dark mode? On linux it seems to follow the system setup, I have to run my OS in light mode because when BS is in dark mode the object list looks this.

That’s actually really smart… Please accept my apology and be my internet friend again.

Down Arrow next to File, then Preferences. Or just use key shortcut Ctrl-P in the Windows version.

Thank you, but it looks like its not present in the linux build.

Dark mode might be fixed in OrcaSlicer. I don’t run Linux anymore, so I can’t check it.

A Linux dark mode bug discussion was marked closed in December.

OrcaSlicer is worth checking out even if you have to use light mode. As best I can tell, the only thing Studio has that Orca does not is the MakerWorld “Share” button. But Orca has more slicing controls, more filament calibrations, and a Measure tool in the Prepare tab.
