Bambu spool dimensions

I’m sure it’s been covered but in the few minutes I searched I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I am at work so it wasn’t my best search.

Also, due to the fact im at work, I can’t just check for myself.

Does anyone know what the inner diameter is of the cardboard center tube on Bambu filament refills?

I know the ID of a bambu spool is 55mm and the AMS lite works with spools 53-58mm.

This is more a question geared towards printing reusable spools, just looking for the cardboard part ID so I know which reusable spools are compatible with it.

The spool dimensions are approximately:

  • Width: ±67 mm
  • Outer Diameter: ±200 mm
  • Inner Diameter: ±55 mm

So does that mean the overall diameter is around 200 or 255mm?

Yeah I just gave up trying

The outer diameter is 200 mm, which would be like the outside of a ring. The inner diameter is 55 mm, which would be the inside of a ring. In this case, it’s a 200 mm ring with a 55 mm hole in the center of it.

On this similar thread, I printed a Reel from the included files on the X1 (bought refills by mistake LOL) and that reel is wider, but if I put one of my refills on it, is it the coil of filament (which is narrower than the printed reel) going to spring all over the place when I release the stay wraps???

I know how to load a spool, I was just trying to figure out if using the printed reel which is WIDER than the cardboard spool the refill comes on will make a mess of the coil of filament or not?
