Bambu Studio 1.7.3.50 hangs

Bambu studio connects to printer, but when I try and start the camera, it hangs and I have to force it closed. This started with this release on Windows 10…

Found the answer… Bambu Studio was set to use the graphics card on my PC. Once I removed that, the video started working, although execution times slowed accordingly. Guess I can choose video or faster execution…

How do you change bambu studio to not use the graphics card? I have the same issue raised on another thread…

The graphics card settings are in Windows, not studio. Go into settings on Windows and search for “graphics” and you’ll see the settings for it.

Ok thanks. Will hopefully give it a try today. Fingers crossed…

Thanks davedkv, That little gem of info allowed me to watch the cam on orca

can you please post a screenshot of your graphic settings in windows ?
I have windows 10. Maybe its different to your settings options I can select.

Alexander, Windows does not automatically use the graphics card for ANY program, you have to go into the graphics settings and specifically tell it to use the card for a specific program. Since you clearly didn’t do that or you’d already know where this graphics setting is, this isn’t the problem you’re having and you need to look elsewhere… Good luck!

Thats the point, most of the turorials refer to windows 11. Here is a screenshot of my setting possibilities. Thats why I ask for a comparison of a different setting overview.

I don’t know what you’re looking at, this is the graphics settings window for windows 10:

Thats similar to mine with high performance and choosen GeForce:

But as I capture a quick screenshot from Task Manager, I recognize that GPU is 0%

OK, number one, you don’t have graphics acceleration turned on. Two, you have Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer set to high performance. They need to be in “Let windows decide” or you’re not going to get video from them…

I tried both changes… unfortunately it wont help.
