Can’t send print job to P1S (01.07.00.00) in lan only mode from bambu studio 2.0.1.50
Error: “storage is not available or is in read-only mode”.
X1C & P1S, connected to cloud, work fine.Changing SD card between printer doesn’t change anything. Orca slicer works well.
Same problem I saw on reddit: https://reddit.adminforge.de/r/BambuLab/comments/1jkc5j9/after_20_update_from_bambulab_studio_i_get_this/
Please help
Has there been a solution posted to this yet? I just updated software.
There are no solition yet. Printer software or bambu studio?
Printer firmware update fixed the problem
I just got this and formatted to solve it. Rebooting or ejecting/inserting back in didn’t help.
Just an FYI, as others have pointed out in other threads, SD cards can do a wierd thing when they start to fail, they become read only. But they give no other indication that they are failing. That may not be the issue/reason that anyone has experienced here, I’m sure there are more than one.
Have the same issue with my about 5 weeks old H2S. USB stick is from Verbatim and also 5 weeks old.
Running in LAN mode.
Restarting Bambu Studio and powering off/on the printer did not help.
It’s annoying. Like every 10 or 20 prints Bambu Studio won’t print because something is wrong. It either cannot connect, or it says there still is a job running, or server not available or now something is wrong with the storage.
With the opensource printer I had before I could print hundreds of times without a single issue.
My LAN and Wifi network is fine and stable, everything else just runs fine.
Formatting the USB storage fixed it.
And again. Did nothing, printer was switched on the whole time, I come home, want to print something, and it gives me this.
Also, what’s the point of checking Bambulabs Servers, I’m running in LAN mode.
Tried a few times, no change. It always uploads the file to the printer and then after upload is done, the error message appears.
Switched the printer off and on again, now it’s working.
Next print. Now I got this error. The printer is connected in the Device Tab, I can see the filaments loaded, the camera picture also works.
It uploads the files, and then, after uploading says this:
My network is fine. Everything else, computers, smarthpones, tablets, TV, Raspberry Pis, works just fine, wired or wireless, no issues.
Edit:
Tried again without changing anything, same error message.
Tried another time, now it works.
Why is this such a bug riddled mess? FTP error 426 clearly is some error happening on the printer.
Now it tells me it’s busy with another job. Which it is not. It’s idle.
This seems to be a common thing when running in LAN only mode. Just started using LAN only and it looks like Studio loses connection to the printer and is giving you those “vague” messages. I have to put in the IP and access code after almost every print because connection is lost. It is shameful to have such a good printer that is just dummied down to an old non-networked Creality printer from the early 2000’s. Bambu Lab and their cloud service is ridiculous to obtain all the functionality.
My P1S screen shows the SD card all of the time and it is connected, but half the time I have to eject it and insert it again for Studio to recognize it in LAN mode, even after inputting the IP and passcode again. This just started recently and it is not the SD card. I might have to roll back to a previous version of Studio.
Recently, I bought a home assistant and set up the printer with LAN only mode and I can basically do everything that the cloud service does - print/pause/stop, move x,y,z,extruder, see video, skip objects, view print history and print from history … It is really a shame when you have to buy another third party item and install it in order to use the printer as it was meant to be for LAN only. The only thing that is still an issue is the loss of connection from Studio to the printer in LAN mode.
