I finally upgraded Bambu Studio to 2.8.2.61 on my Mac M2 Mini running 26.5.2 Tahoe. My printer is an H2C.
I’m trying to create a custom filament using Polymaker for the brand, as soon as I choose the filament type (ABS in my case) the dialog box appears to close (dissappears) and Studio appears to be locked up. Turns out if I press escape the add custom filaments dialog opens allowing me close or try creating a new filament type with the same problem.
It seems the dialog box for creating a custom filament box just hides itself after choosing the brand and filament type. Is this a known issue? If so, how can I add my Polymaker ABS filament choice back?
After installing Bambu_Studio_mac-v02.08.02.61, I noted that after first launching it, it did not initiate the usual installation of the network plug-in. The result was that neither of my printers (H2D and H2C) was shown in the device list, and attempts to connect them failed. Reverting to the beta version Bambu_Studio_mac-v02.08.00.50-20260625193201 restored the connection to both printers. A second attempt to install Bambu_Studio_mac-v02.08.02.61 resulted in the failure to connect returning, and again this was reversible by reinstalling the beta version.
It would appear the static camera used for notifications has suddenly become a 4:3 aspect ratio for the purpose of a unnecerssary zoom function , (privacy ?) which appears to of removed notifications of foreign objects on the build plate, strange for cloud based notices ?
The issue was that installing the update logged me out of my account. Logging in again reconnected me to my printers and synchronized all my presets and settings.
Problem: Bambu Studio generates inconsistent preview thumbnails when slicing Studio Version: 2.8.2.61 (all of 2.8.2) Platform: Windows Steps to reproduce:
Open Bambu Studio
Slice a model
Print, Send, and/or Export one or all plates
Preview of plate in studio, main slice preview, and sent preview thumbnail do not match orientation. This is difficult when selecting item to print from the printer or Handy if the orientation inconvenient (see picture).
Bonus question: Why does the printer not show the selected plate name?
Even though this thread was started by a Bambu employee, the vast majority of bugs reported here receive no attention by the Studio developers. It is much more effective to use their GitHub page. Check existing issues first and add your input. If you have a genuinely new bug, create a new issue. Include all the information asked for, even if you think it is unnecessary.
I’m on my new desktop pc with win 11 pro and during the preliminary setup and programs install, guess who freezed to being alt F4’d. And it still pan instead of zooming it’s a month
when the printhead leaves the prime tower and goes to the model,nozzle takes 18 seconds to reach the set temperature. Starts with a +4°C, then it goes -1, +1 and then the correct temp.

In the latest Beta, when I try to create a new project, it will not let me add a pic. Without a pic it won’t let me save it. When I click the add, I have tried PNG, JPEG, and different files. Nothing seems to work.
In the latest release I updated to (2.8.41.57) It seems that the foreign object on bed detection is now logging me out of Bambu Studio each time it is triggered. It was already annoying having it go off on nearly every single print due to using a BIQU Cryoplate, but the new release seems to have only made the problem worse. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I have a problem where TPU 95A HF from bambu lab prints poorly on hardened steel nozzle. This can be fixed by increasing hotend temp by 10 to 15 degrees celcius, i suspect this is because the hardened nozzle has less thermal conductivity and as such it needs higher temperature gradient to be able to melt the tpu properly. please consider fixing or modifying the TPU print profiles to reflect this.
