Bambu Studio Drop-Down boxes don't scroll

I’m using Bambu Studio and I’ve noticed several places where a drop-down field opens and displays a selection list, but does not permit scrolling down to the desired item…

For example, the Filament Settings window shows a box at the top of the window. Selecting that box shows a list of items that presumably I should be able to select from. I CAN select from any that show in the list when the box is open, but there are additional selections that I would have to scroll down to see and select. There is no way to scroll down. There is no traditional scroll bar and arrow keys simply complete the selection (like pressing [ENTER].

On that same screen, under Basic information → Type is another drop-down field. When I click the green arrow icon to open the selection list, I see “PLA”, “ABS”, “ASA”, etc. The entries overflow the window and so it requires scrolling down to get to the bottom of the list. It’s exactly the same: There is no way to scroll down. There is no traditional scroll bar and arrow keys simply complete the selection (like pressing [ENTER].

I am running Bambu Studio under Windows 10.

What am I missing?

You are missing a scroll wheel on your mouse.

I never noticed the lack of arrow buttons because all my mice have wheels. The wheel makes it easy to reach the hidden items on the list. I actually like the clean look, but yes, Bambu should not assume that all users have scroll wheels.

EDIT: I do see a narrow scroll bar on the items I’ve checked. You CAN click and hold the left mouse button on the bar or anywhere in the list to drag it up and down to view the entire list of items.

It’s rather odd Bambu only did this for filament selection, other drop down lists do show arrows.

Thanks for that tip. I did not think the mouse wheel worked for these drop-downs, but it does. So that is one method of scrolling down.

I see a very thin “scroll indicator” on the right side where a scroll bar would normally be, but clicking on and trying to move that indicator doesn’t accomplish anything. I’ve now discovered that I can click and hold on the list itself, and drag the list itself up and down. When I move the list up to expose the bottom of the list, the “scroll indicator” moves down - opposite the direction I moved the mouse.

It’s not typical or intuitive, but that does work.
