Bambu Studio fumble, need help!

Hey everyone, I’m working on a project and encountered a strange glitch happening when I slice an object. Though it’s possible I’m making the error with a setting and not aware…either way I need some help. Please see the pictures for reference.

I have an object that Ive modeled to have a hole in the bottom. However when it slices, it fills the bottom hole up and gives me a note in the bottom right screen telling me it filled with the nearest layers…

So I tried using a boolean in Bambu studio to keep the hole, which partly worked - it left the hole but added some unwanted layers up around the hole…!

I’m using vase mode so there are minimal walls and 0% infill.

Any ideas of how to achieve a hole in the center without it covering up or without adding layers around the hole? All suggestions welcome. Maybe there is something I’m not aware of when trying this. Thank you!

Did you happen to choose the Close Holes under Slicing Mode under Special Mode?

Can you cut the bottom of the model just a hair, maybe it’s not 100% flat ?

After boolean try the Fix Model if using windows slicer version and see what happens

No, that setting was set to regular. Good thought though!

Well it layers flat on the bottom. I’ll try the fix model feature. I may need to try using a model without the hole pre-done before using the boolean - maybe that bugged it up?

The only other thing you can try and it might help or not if you have not already tested out.

  • Wall generator - Classic or Arachne

  • Arc fitting - on and off

  • Resolution 0.001

  • Don’t use spiral vase and do one wall settings there have been some bugs in spiral vase mode on some models.

Keep us updated :v:
