Bambu Studio -- help with reducing waste

I don’t know the correct terminology so my searches are fruitless for what I’m asking.

The multicolor files that I download have a “tower” that prints as the colors change throughout the print (understandable). Several times I just want to print one solid color. I choose the same filament for all parts, but the tower remains. I’ve tried to delete the tower or move it off the plate, but it stays.

Is there a setting I can change when printing a solid color to remove the tower and save the filament?

p.s. What’s the correct term for the tower?..forgive my ignorance.

It’s called a “Prime Tower”. They generate when you have a multi filament print OR when you have timelapse enabled.

Ahh, thanks. A quick search shows I can turn the prime tower off at Process-Global-Others.
