I bought a brand-new computer to run this, but man it blows up more than it works.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong? It constantly shuts down.
The repair function just spins and if I have more than 3 models on a plate, it blows up. Terrible.

Works fine for me, you are clearly using the Windows version (no repair option on the Mac version).
I use the Mac version and I often have 10 or more instances running at once, crashes are rare, possibly two in 9 months.
As I use the Mac version, I have no access to the repair option as for some reason it is Windows only.
Is your problem with crashes limited to that?
As a data point, I haven’t had any issues with running Bambu Studio from a high end CAD system to a 10+ year old laptop.
Studio is pretty reliable but I think there have been some crashes with newer multi-core computers. I’ve read the fix is to set “affinity” for the program to restrict it to eight or fewer cores, maybe with a utility to make the restriction automatic.
A search for “bambu studio affinity” should find better information.
Computer spec? New computer does not mean it will run top-notch, there are low end cheap computers only able to run a browser.
Where is Goldilocks when you need her?
I’ve noticed something similar and maybe related. Since the last update if I put too many of curvy widgets on a build plate and slice it, it consistently CTDs at the same place in the slicing. If I remove some, then it will slice even though all widgets are the same.
What I’m seeing seems to be related to complexity on the build plate. I just run build plates with less stuff as a workaround. I don’t remember seeing this previous versions but can’t say it wasn’t there before. But definitely seeing it with this last version.
Certain Intel processors will crash on anything. They know it and are working on a patch for the processor microcode.
Using a Utra 5 and no issues. Limited to 8gb ram but hardlty notice.
If it’s crashing, unintall it and then install again. Be sure to have the latest, which I’m sure you do.
There’s a thread around here somewhere about taking a long time to slice or similar. Has some details on how you may be able to help yourself.

Be more specific!
You can do repairs in windows 3d builder tool, too. See if it chokes there, not just in your slicer software (which farms the work to this tool).
I use a Mac and have the same problem. I haven’t gotten around to uninstalling and reinstalling but it’s worth a try.
If you have a complex model with many interrelated non-manifold edges (and possibly other defects) the fix by Windows Service may take quite a while to run. I have had several take an hour or more to complete. During that time, the circle keeps spinning and the message in the window flashes as if it has crashed, but it is simply waiting for the Windows Service to respond with the “repaired” model.
I usually just open a new instance of Bambu Studio and work on something else (or go to bed and check in the morning.)
