I’m on 2.5.0.66 and every time I try to modify the top surface flow ratio it crashes. is this happening for others?
after opening and closing multiple times I got it to not crash but the values won’t change… they stay stuck at ‘1’

Hi Josh,
Yes, these are known issues… There are several surrounding the top flow ratio settings – crashing, rounding, not sticking, and showing one thing but actually doing another. BL folks say it is/will be fixed, though they haven’t published a fix yet (I tried submitting some but they said “no thanks already fixed on our end”).

(you get the idea… )
There’s no real workaround that I know of, besides manually editing the project config files. ![]()
ADDED: But you could try the latest beta version, supposedly the “non sticking” issue is fixed, though it still doesn’t work right over here.

thanks Max, how would I try the beta version? I’ll give it a go and see if it works on my end
alternatively, could i just switch to an older version of bambu studio? the previous version worked just fine
The beta is the newest one on the https://github.com/bambulab/BambuStudio/releases page. The value reset “fix” is mentioned in the bug fixes at the end of the notes there. The beta should use its own configuration folder (“BambuStudioBeta”) instead of the default, so essentially it’s a separate install (and if you have custom profiles that aren’t synced to their cloud, you’ll have to copy them over manually). But it’s not a big risk to try it.
Also you could downgrade… depending
I also have an H2C and I’m still using the old v2.4 for my actual printing (2.5 has too many issues for my liking, though I’m using it for development/testing). If you open projects from newer Studio versions it’ll tell you there are a bunch of settings it doesn’t recognize (any new printing options added in v2.5)… so if you actually use any of those, then downgrading might not be for you.
Before a downgrade I’d make sure to make a fresh backup copy of your current configuration directory (you can open it easily from the “Help” menu → “Show Configuration Folder”). You shouldn’t need it, but… BSTS.
Cheers,
-Max
