Hi all. thank you for reading. maybe I touch some settings I don’t know, but my top layers don’t fill the whole surface. I had a perfect final layer but now they seem to not fill the parts correctly:
all my wall layers are perfect,
but in the slicers, you can see the infill. and this does not matter if I give one ore two or 4 walls.
can anyone get me out of this mess?
Without seeing your setting I can only hazard a guess. from the looks of the sliced image, you are trying to slice an organic-type model. The challenge that can sometimes present to the slicer algorithm is that it sometimes can manifest itself is guessing wrongly on how to fill in the top layer. This is especially true for uneven surfaces.
The quick test is to simply change the number of top layers or top shell thickness. Changing the top number of layers is the easiest but you can also set a minimum thickness in mm.
Alternatively, you can change the layer height in your settings but this will change it for the whole model and of course the finer you make the layer height the slower the print.
If you don’t want to do it for the entire model and just do it for the top surfaces, use the adaptive layer height tool and use your mouse to manipulate the layer height in the right hand bar.
By stroking the bar up and down, you will decrease the layer height. Right-click will decrease. Hitting the smooth button will smooth out your adjustments. You’ll have to experiment with your model for the right amount.
