Bambu Studio not syncing A1 filament?

I have many, many questions while I try to figure the extremely weird behavior of this A1 Combo. First is the way Bambu Studio is syncing filament with the A1.

I have 3 spools of filament on the AMS in positions 1, 2, and 4. When I sync and resync with the A1 in the Prepare tab it always shows filament in positions 1, 2, and 3.

I need to know if this is the default or correct behavior. If it is not I need to consider if this issue may be part of the next issue I’ll be asking about?

BS filaments number is not their position on the AMS just a count of the number of filaments.

The main screen on Bambu studio just numbers the colors in consecutive order because you can add as many colors as you want there, but if you click the filament name, you should be seeing the correct numbering of your actual filaments in that drop down for the actual colors, like in my picture? I have slot 2 empty so it shows 1, 3, 4.

This is good news and makes for easier trouble shooting in the next step. Thanks for the replies.
